I’ve had the luxury of visiting so many venues around west Yorkshire! From hotel’s , to barns, to pubs
So here is my top 10 Yorkshire wedding venue list.
Each venue i can whole heartly shout about in different ways, if its on here they have delivered great service and looked after every couple!
Pricing and information should be checked with each venue accordingly i have just provided a rough guide on facts.
On the border of Leeds & Bradford enters the Walton view hotel – a very new venue to the area but absolutely breath taking!
Able to accommodate a huge number of guests and beautiful on site bridal rooms it has everything you need available
Close to so many amenities this venue is a hidden gem right now and is by far the most up and coming Venue in West Yorkshire right now.
The food is second to none here too and the staff run weddings fantastically here!
This venue is my top pick based on food, service, amenties and value for spend.
Cost: Very reasonable – expect to pay around £10,000 off peak and £14,000 during peak
Guest Capacity: 400
Style: Ball room
Rain plan: Plenty of indoor space for photos and plenty of space for guests during turnaround
Onsite Accommodation: onsite hotel
Picture space: Beautiful grounds, a fountain and spoilt inside for space for more photos including a stunning bar area!
Nestled away 4 minutes from Bolton Abbey this is one of my favorite venues to visit in Yorkshire!
And when i say the food is good… it’s quite honestly the best food i have ever tasted!
The barn is entirely yours and needs next to no decoration doing as its so beautiful in it’s self!
This is a venue that looks incredible and you must visit it to see it for your self.
Cost: 80 Guests – Out of season/midweek around £10,000-£14,000 – peak season/weekends – £14,000-£20,000
Style: Barn
Guest Capacity 160
Rain plan: Plenty of indoor space available and plenty of options inside for photos too
Onsite Accommodation: No – but plenty of local options available
Picture space: Plenty available
Located in the national trust park of riddesden this venue is close to many local amenities such as hotels, taxis station and your guests will have no issue finding some where to stay.
Catering is external by means of the recommended suppliers the venue provide giving you great flexibility with budgets and choice.
A local lake on your door step and some beautiful gardens for your photos this venue is a fantastic choice!
Cost: Barn hire around £4-6k depending on date then catering on top depending on what you choose to eat. (Ranging from £3000-£12,000 for catering depending on choice)
Style: Barn
Guest Capacity 120
Rain Plan: Plenty of space inside for turnaround and a few little barns to take some photos inside in the event of rain
Onsite Accommodation: No – but plenty of local options available
Picture space: Plenty available! gardens & Lake.
Extras: Corkage available to bring your own alchool
Whilst this wedding venue is quite a distance from most its certainly one to add to the list.
Located in the north yorkshire moors quite honestly in the middle of no where its the most peaceful setting for your big day!
With some on-site ruins that make for some amazing photos and blessed with miles of stunning views danby castle gives a slightly barn feel mixed with a historic/ruins feel.
Onsite rooms for bridal prep and plenty of location airbnb’s and accomodation for all your guests.
The grounds are yours for the day!
Cost: Very reasonably priced -80 person wedding – around £9,000-£12,000
Guest Capacity: 120
Style: Barn/Ruins castle vibes
Rain plan: Plenty of indoor space for photos and plenty of space for guests during turnaround
Onsite Accommodation: Onsite bridal prep rooms and a few rooms for overnight stays but most guests will need to stay else where.
Picture space: Stunning overlooking views, ruins of danby castle, greenery everywhere and so many locations a short 2 minute drive away if you want something a bit extra(But you really won’t need it)
Just 5 minutes from the Centre of Halifax comes Holdsworth House – A hotel mixed with a wedding venue.
With an option for an outdoor ceremony too if you want to risk the British weather! but with incredible gardens for all your guests to enjoy.
Holdsworth house is by nature a hotel so has plenty of accomodation for all your guests and located near Halifax its certainly easy to get to for most of your guests if you are local to the area.
Style: Hotel with beautiful Gardens
Guest Capacity 120
Onsite Accommodation: Plenty available for guests and bridal prep
Picture space: Stunning gardens and some near by reservoirs if you want to go out a little further too!
Outbarn – located in Clitheroe! i know! its not Yorkshire but it needs a mention as it’s not to far really!
The Outbarn is exclusive wedding venue overlooking some fantastic views! it’s not technically a barn but it has that barn feel to it!
It comes with some onsite accommodation for bridal prep (Well a 3 minute walk away!) and some fantastic getting ready rooms located a stones throw away from the venue.
Whilst accommodation nearby is not as accessible as other venues you can find many hotels/airbnb’s a 10-15 minute drive away for all your guests to enjoy.
The out barn is an externally catered venue giving you some choice of your food suppliers too! meaning you have more choice with your food and budget spend.
Come the day – the out barn is a beautiful ceremony room, which then converts in to your wedding breakfast and then when party time comes a fantastic evening reception venue.
Cost: Very reasonably priced -80 person wedding – around £9,000-£12,000
Guest Capacity: 90
Style: Barn touch/with a modern twist
Rain plan: A Large bar area in the event of rain during turnaround however photos a little limited inside.
Onsite Accommodation: Onsite bridal prep rooms and a few rooms for overnight stays but most guests will need to stay else where.
Picture space: Stunning overlooking views of the valley, plenty of greenery for the couples shots overlooking some fantastic scenery!
A North Yorkshire venue!
Located in Thirsk (The name gives that away i guess!) this venue is another one on my favorites list!
Next door comes your own farm house for the day for all your bridal prep! suitable for 10-12 people in the morning and then a stones throw away in to your wedding venue.
This wedding venue is thoroughly spaced out and is suitable for large or small weddings, it is blessed with endless possibilities when it comes to your wedding photos.
A lovely little garden for your drinks reception and as much land as you want for your own couple photos!
The food is worth a mention here too! and the stunning long ceremony room that will make you feel like a queen as you walk down that aisle.

Guest Capacity:160+
Rain plan: So much space inside the rain wont ruin your day, many photo opportunities inside and plenty of space for guests during turn around.
Onsite Accommodation: Onsite farm house for bridal prep – plenty of local accomodation for guests.
Picture space: Stunning gardens, endless options and plenty inside in the event of rain too
Wharfdale grange is a beautiful barn style wedding capable of housing over 200+ guests! Located in north Leeds.
It has plenty of space for your guests and spoilt for photo options outside the doors! External catering is used here giving you freedom of your food choices and budget.
This venue has an upstairs bridal getting ready room so you and all the girls will be able to get ready on site!
Last time i was there they was in the process of building some cottages/accomodation next door so these maybe available come 2025/2026 for your big day! But don’t hold me too
Cost: Venue hire £5-£8000 depending on time of year – external catering on top of the cost
Guest Capacity: 200+
Style: Barn touch/with a modern twist
Rain plan: A Large bar area in the event of rain during turnaround, spoilt for choice for indoor space for photos
Onsite Accommodation: Onsite bridal prep rooms and potentially accomodation next door (In process of being built)
Picture space: Plenty of grounds available for photos and some incredible backdrops against the venue
Located in York! wood stock weddings and events (A long name i know!) is a Barn style wedding venue
Capable of housing up to 200 guests and has onsite accommodation pods and rooms for your overnight stays, it has a few quirky features like a cocktail Tipi bar, a groom getting ready room, and plenty of scenery for your photos
This wedding venue is thoroughly spaced out and is suitable for large or small weddings, it is blessed with endless possibilities when it comes to your wedding photos.
A lovely little garden front for your drinks reception
Style: Barn
Guest Capacity:200+
Rain plan: Plenty of indoor space and inside space for your photos in the event of rain.
Onsite Accommodation: Onsite pods for bridal prep + more rooms for groom prep too!, some pods are available for guests but most guests will need to stay nearby.
Picture space: Fields, fountains, gardens, and plenty of indoor options too!
Hidden in the valleys of Barkisland the venue Halifax is a rustic warehouse venue able to cater for up to 400 guests if your wedding is that big!
With a beautiful spinning room for your ceremony and a huge rustic mill for your wedding breakfast this is a venue capable of giving you your big day!
With a very urban/rustic feel to the area with the right photographer photo oppertunies are plentiful available here.
With so much included in the package including a DJ, love letters and all the extra trimmings you usually need this venue packs a great punch for value for money!
Cost: Very reasonably priced -80 person wedding – around £7,000-£10,000
Guest Capacity: 400
Style: Rustic warehouse
Rain plan: Plenty of indoor space for photos and plenty of space for guests during turnaround
Onsite Accommodation:Next door onsite bowers hotel for bridal prep and plenty of local airbnb’s available.
Picture space: Rustic/urban surroundings with a small lake and some local fields, a bandstand is also available for all your family photos that looks great.
Extras: DJ, love letters and lots of little extras included by standard.
